Teaching you Simple Methods to Gain a Better Understanding of your Digital Camera and Help You Create Better Photographs.

Workshop taught by Stacy Nish, owner of Stacy Marie Photography. This workshop is for anyone who owns a digital camera and wants to expand their knowledge of basic photography methods. Providing you with simple yet crucial techniques that will drastically improve the outcome of your photos!

You will spend two hours in the classroom getting familiar with your camera and learning photography methods, then you will get an hour outside taking photos to apply what you learned, helping you understand and retain the information.

We will go in depth about:

  • Aperture Settings
  • Shutter Speed
  • ISO
  • White Balance
  • How to Gain Proper Exposure
  • Framing your Subject
  • Composing your Shot
  • Using Angles
  • Posing your Subject
  • Natural Lighting

You will come away from this workshop with a further understanding of photography, a better knowledge of how to use your digital camera and the ability to take better pictures.

Class sizes are small to allow for one-on-one attention.

LOCATION: This workshop will be taught in my home in Draper. You will receive the address in your confirmation email once you sign up.

WHAT YOU NEED: Bring your digital SLR camera and your users manual. I will provide you with pen and paper for taking notes as well as some handouts to take home.
